🕓 04:30 – 05:00 AM | Hotel Pickup in Cusco
We’ll start your adventure early with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Andes toward the charming town of Mollepata.
🍽️ 07:00 AM | Breakfast in Mollepata
Arrive in Mollepata and enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast to fuel up before the hike. You’ll have time to rest and acclimatize.
🚐 08:00 AM | Continue Drive to Soraypampa (Trailhead)
Travel deeper into the Andes until reaching Soraypampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft), the starting point of the trek. Take in the stunning views of the surrounding peaks.
🥾 08:30 AM | Begin the Hike to Humantay Lagoon
Start your guided hike toward Humantay Lagoon. The trail is about 3 km (1.8 miles) uphill and takes approximately 1.5 hours. Along the way, enjoy incredible mountain views and the peaceful silence of nature.

Take your time to enjoy the breathtaking turquoise waters of the glacial lagoon, nestled beneath the snow-capped Humantay and Salkantay mountains. Perfect time for photos, relaxation, or a peaceful moment of reflection.
🔁 11:00 AM | Begin the Descent to Soraypampa
After soaking in the views, descend along the same trail with your guide back to the base, where your transport will be waiting.

Bring warm layers, a rain jacket, hiking boots, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), a small backpack, and at least 1 liter of water. Weather can change quickly at high altitudes.
The tour is not recommended for small children or individuals with heart or respiratory conditions due to the high altitude and physical demand.
The tour operates rain or shine. During the rainy season (Nov–Mar), trails may be slippery, so we recommend bringing proper rain gear. Even with clouds, the lagoon remains a stunning sight.
Horse rental is offered by local community members along the trail. If you feel tired or need assistance with the ascent, you can hire a horse on-site. The cost ranges from 80 to 100 soles (cash only) for a one-way ride up. Keep in mind that horses are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and you will still need to walk short segments. Our guide will assist you if needed.
